Just Another "Paige" in the Books

The links to the left are my processes through my personal literacy narrative. This was our first major assignment and the first time we peer edited in class, and received feedback from both our classmates and Ms. Andrews. This feedback was to be utilized to revise our personal narratives and improve them for a second revision. The planning, peer editing and feedback includes a copy of my first rough draft with comments throughout from my classmates, along with my planning sheet found in my daybook. The other links are pretty self-explanatory. The revised draft link has been altered accordingly to improve the quality of the narrative by taking in feedback from classmates and Ms. Andrews. The revisions have been highlighted. In my planning, I picked out what I wanted to focus on in the narrative. My father teaching me how to read and spell at such a young age was very helpful in setting the foundation for my future. I feel that because of his efforts, I have a better understanding of literacy and the overall idea of the importance of literacy as a whole. In the in-class workshop, my classmates gave me helpful commentary which I absorbed and took into consideration when writing my final draft. Ms. Andrews comments were also very accomodating when composing my final draft. I enjoyed the positive feedback; it's always enlightening, but more harsh feedback can be the most useful when writing a paper of great importance. I dedicate this section of my portfolio to my fellow classmates for their help in the process of writing and revising my personal literacy narrative.
